PPIE in Action at all PUSD schools!
PPIE raises funds from Pleasanton families, businesses, and community members to supplement public school funding and enhance educational opportunities for students across Pleasanton Unified School District.
For the 2026–27 school year, PPIE is investing in four key areas: school libraries, student mental health and wellness, outdoor education transportation, and student and educator grants. These programs provide valuable resources and experiences that enrich student learning and support success across our schools.
School Libraries
School libraries are essential learning spaces where students develop literacy skills, access educational resources, conduct research, and connect with their school community.
PPIE supports library programs across PUSD, helping ensure school libraries remain open and accessible throughout the school day. From elementary through high school, libraries play an essential role in providing a well-rounded education by fostering literacy, supporting research and academic learning, and offering welcoming spaces where students can explore, collaborate, and connect.
Student Mental Health & Wellness
Student well-being plays an important role in academic success. PPIE supports mental health and wellness programs that help students feel safe, connected, and supported at school.
Our investments focus on wellness initiatives at PUSD middle and high schools, including wellness centers, counseling resources, peer support programs, and services that promote students’ social and emotional well-being.
Outdoor Education
Outdoor Education provides fifth-grade students with opportunities to learn beyond the classroom, build independence, and develop meaningful connections with classmates.
PPIE helps cover transportation and other associated costs for fifth-grade Outdoor Education programs, reducing the financial burden on families and school PTAs and helping make these valuable experiences more accessible.
Student & Educator Grants
Through our annual grants program, PPIE supports innovative ideas and enrichment opportunities that extend beyond traditional classroom funding.
Student grants help bring student-led clubs, organizations, and initiatives to life, while educator grants provide resources for creative classroom projects, hands-on learning, and unique educational experiences across PUSD.
How PPIE Funding Works
PPIE partners with Pleasanton Unified School District to identify and support programs that enhance the educational experience for students. PPIE provides funding for these programs, while PUSD oversees their implementation, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
