Run for Education

The Pleasanton Run for Education is our signature event bringing our entire community toggether, and serves to celebrate our community, encourage fitness, and support our schools.

On April 19th, the Pleasanton community came together in a big way for the 14th annual 2026 PPIE Run for Education. Held this year at Pleasanton Middle School, the event welcomed nearly 1,700 participants and was powered by more than 200 volunteers. Whether you walked, ran, or strolled, it was a fun morning bringing our community together.

Together, the event raised over $85,000 to support programs benefiting all students in the Pleasanton Unified School District. Presented by Workday, the Run continues to be a great example of what’s possible when local businesses and the community come together to support education. We hope to see you next year!

2026 Race results

The Pleasanton Run for Education is our largest community event of the year, and serves to celebrate our community, encourage fitness, and fundraise for our schools. The event will take place at the Pleasanton Middle School and will offer 5K (3.1 mile), 10K (6.2 mile), and 2 Mile distances. All three courses are designed for participants of all ages and athletic abilities, and we welcome runners, walkers, and baby jogger strollers in all three events. For kids ages 3 to 10 years who are not quite ready for the longer distance, we also host a 1/4 mile fun run.

By joining PPIE’s Run for Education you are supporting our 16 public schools, 13,000 students, and over 9,000 school families with an enriched educational experience
