Giving Fund Campaign 2016-2017

PPIE is pleased to announce the results of our Annual Giving Fund Campaign to support programs in the 2016-17 school year. On Tuesday, May 10th, the PPIE Board of Directors presented the Pleasanton Unified School District Board of Trustees with a donation in the amount of $570,000! In accordance with our letter of intention sent March 14, 2016, $360,000 from this donation will fund four district-wide Instructional Coaches for the 2016-2017 school year, an important resource for our teachers.

In addition, $60,000 of this donation will support the 5th grade band and strings program. This key program in our district is the training ground for students who eventually play in our secondary music programs, including our bands and orchestras which are recognized as among the top in the state.

The remaining $150,000 is to be distributed to individual schools sites as noted below with the intention that they be used to further PPIE’s mission of enhancing learning experiences by focusing on supporting the district technology plan at their sites in areas not yet budgeted by the district, such as technology hardware and classroom infrastructure needs.

This donation represents the collective efforts and generosity of many stakeholders in our community, including our parent community, parent-teacher clubs, corporate partners, teachers, administrators, trustees and hundreds of volunteers. We appreciate their efforts and the partnership we have with the district to continue to offer high quality education in our schools.
